Three bandits John Wayne, Pedro Armendariz and Harry Carey Jr are escaping from the law when they come across a dying mother and her child. Despite being pursued across the desert the outlaws take it upon themselves to carry the child to the safety of the next town but not all of them will make it alive. A minor classic from John Ford.
